Overview
Notifications in Conduit allow you to stay updated on important events and messages without needing to monitor the platform constantly. The system enables email-based alerts tailored to user priorities, ensuring critical updates aren’t missed while allowing customization of what triggers notifications.Setup Instructions
To configure notifications, users should:- Access Settings > Notifications
- Enable the notification feature
- Select which activities trigger alerts (connected channel activity, specific inbox messages, billing updates)
Configuring notifications for specific phone numbers
Each user can independently configure which phone numbers they receive notifications for. These settings are personal and must be configured by each user individually — changes made by one user do not affect other users’ notification preferences. To set up phone number notifications:- Navigate to Settings > Notifications.
- Scroll down to the Phone Numbers section.
- Select the specific phone numbers you want to receive notifications for.
Each user must configure these settings individually. Notification preferences are not shared across accounts.
Ringer settings
By default, Conduit plays a ringer alert for incoming phone calls. You can silence these alerts at any time. To disable phone call ringer notifications:- Navigate to Settings > Notifications.
- Uncheck Phone call notifications.
Inbox-level ringer and notifications
Inbox membership directly controls which call ringers and notifications you receive. If you are not a member of a specific inbox, you will not receive ringer alerts or notifications for calls coming from customers within that inbox. This means that adding or removing yourself from an inbox is another way to control which rings you hear — without changing your global notification settings. To add or remove yourself from an inbox:- Navigate to Settings > Inboxes.
- Select the inbox you want to update.
- Add or remove yourself as a member.
Spam Management
The platform includes functionality for managing unwanted messages through spam rules. Process for adding spam rules:- Navigate to Settings > Spam > Add Spam Rule
- Enter the contact’s email or phone number
- Optionally add contact name or email conditions
- Select Create Rule
