Portal fields are the property details guests see in the portal. They sync from your PMS, and a value you save in Conduit replaces the PMS value. Go to Properties, pick a property and open Portal fields. Portals > Settings > Listings opens Properties too. Viewing needs See Properties Page, and editing needs Manage Properties.

Fields

Each field has a badge for where its value comes from:

Edit a field

  1. Click the pencil on the field
  2. Edit the value and click Save
  • Your value stays until you click Use plus the PMS name, like Use Guesty
  • Hide hides a field from guests. Portal name and Address can’t be hidden
  • On a Review field, compare the two values and click Keep Conduit value or Use the PMS value
  • Changes reach portals already sent

Text, media and variables

Directions, Area guide, Check-in instructions, Check-out instructions, Parking, House rules, House manual and the trash fields take headings, lists, links, Add media and Variables.
  • Add media adds up to 10 photos or videos per field: photos up to 10 MB (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF) and videos up to 50 MB (MP4 or WebM), with captions up to 300 characters
  • A YouTube or Vimeo link on its own line shows as a video
  • Variables > Devices inserts a lock’s code, listed by its Portal name. Guests see their own code once it’s ready, or a note like Complete check-in to view your code or Available closer to check-in
  • Variables > Globals inserts workspace variables and the current date and time
  • Remove any door codes from check-in instructions synced from your PMS, and add lock codes from Variables > Devices instead

Subunits

A multi-unit property lists its units under Subunits. Each unit has its own Portal fields tab.
  • Property marks a value the unit inherits. The unit’s name marks a value it overrides
  • Units can override every field except Portal name, Address, the Maps links and Listing door code
  • Use property value goes back to the property’s value

Access & control

  • Listing door code is used when a reservation has no door code of its own
  • The property’s smart locks show Online or Offline. Drag them to set their order in the portal
  • Add static code adds a fixed keypad or lockbox code. It shows once Show static codes in portals is on in Settings > Operations > Devices
  • Customer preview shows the door section Before stay, Checking in, During stay and After stay
  • Door codes show once the guest has finished check-in, from the Door code time in Defaults until checkout
Lock setup is in Devices.

Completeness

The Portal fields column on Properties shows how complete each property is, as a percentage across directions, area, check-in, check-out, Wi-Fi, parking, house rules, house manual and trash. Hidden fields don’t count. There’s no bulk edit in the app. Update Portal Listing Field sets or resets a field over the API.
